Richard graduated from UAB with a degree in Finance in 1990. Following that, he gained 15 years of very diversified and valuable experience working as an Insurance claims adjuster, construction warehouse manager and in sales in the boiler and the civil construction industries and insurance, while serving as a pastor for 16 years in his church.  In 2010 he started an internet merchandising business and has kept it going as well. 

 

In 2006, he began his career in real estate as a residential realtor for Coldwell Banker. After a year of limited success,  he became inactive until January 2021. In 2021 he restarted his career as a real estate broker with SVN Multifamily and since that time, has successfully closed 27 deals, totaling 480 units at a combined price of $30.4 million.  These deals varied in size from 4 units to 72 units and price from $200k to $4 million.  Geographically these deals were located from south Birmingham to southern Tennessee but most were concentrated in north Alabama.
